Public Affairs Manager, North America
We’ve signed up to an ambitious journey. Join us!
As Arrive, we guide customers and communities towards brighter futures and more livable cities, it isn’t a challenge just anyone could take on. Luckily, we have something to help us make it happen. Our people and our values. We Arrive Curious, Focused and Together. Just as our entire brand is inspired by the North Star, the shining light leading travelers to their destinations since time began, our values guide us. They help us be at our best. For our customers. For the cities and communities we serve. For ourselves. As a global team, we are transforming urban mobility. Let’s grow better, together.
Would you like to be our Public Affairs Manager (North America) working in a dynamic and international environment?
By joining us you will contribute to our global vision of making cities more livable, developing and executing government affairs strategies that influence policies, promote innovation, introduce solutions to improve urban life, and achieve sustainable business growth.
This is a hybrid role. The successful candidate will be based at the ParkMobile office in Atlanta, Georgia.
The role
As our Public Affairs Manager (North America), you will play a key role in developing and implementing a range of strategies and tactics to influence policy and engage political stakeholders. The role primarily involves influencing at city hall level, although knowledge of how to influence at a state level would be helpful, though not mandatory.
This position provides strategic management of government affairs/public affairs agencies—overseeing and coordinating activities in North America, and ensuring the agencies are aligned with Arrive’s commercial strategy and priority objectives. You will also create conditions for our North American teams to succeed in their engagement with key policymakers, business and civic organizations, think tanks, governmental associations, and opinion leaders by supporting senior leaders with the knowledge and tools required to influence policy.
You will be part of a growing team with a primary focus on a top strategic market for Arrive, where you will make a huge impact, sharing ideas and learnings, and working closely with our Public Affairs Manager (Europe) and Director of Public Affairs. Together, we will set the strategy for all policy communications at Arrive.
Although the role is primarily North America-focused, our Public Affairs team works globally. Therefore, from time to time, you may also be required to provide expertise and support to colleagues in other international markets served by Arrive, which will allow you to broaden your international experience.
About you
We don’t know you yet, but you might recognize yourself in the following:
You have an analytical mind that can dissect intricate policy details and evaluate their far-reaching implications. You understand the legislative and regulatory landscape, but we don't expect you to be an expert—what matters most is your appetite to learn.
You’re a strategic thinker who can align government affairs efforts with Arrive’s business goals, and shape long-term positioning. A self-starter with an intrapreneurial mindset, you thrive in an environment where your persuasive communication can directly contribute to tangible outcomes.
You approach your work with passion, driving ideas and projects while constantly seeking to understand the complex interests and motivations that surround policy issues. Your greatest reward is seeing the real-world impact of your efforts—a new regulation passed or an innovative solution adopted—knowing you have directly contributed to advancing our shared vision of making cities more livable.
You have meticulous attention to detail and excel at writing briefs that make external agencies weep tears of joy (or maybe just relief). By setting well-defined requirements, timelines, and deliverables, you manage government affairs/public affairs agencies effectively, providing direction that keeps projects on track and outcomes measurable.
Another superpower is your ability to handle fast-paced change and political shifts with calm effectiveness. You have a backup plan for your backup plan because you never know when the political winds will change.
You work collaboratively and confidently with peers and leadership, ensuring messaging and policy priorities stay aligned.
We get it: a North American role in a fast-growing company on a journey to build a leading global mobility platform might sound like a mouthful, but don't let it scare you off! We're secretly hoping it has piqued your interest instead. Not a seasoned pro yet? We're actually keen on finding someone who is hungry for a challenge and eager to learn and grow with us.
If you're excited by the idea of building a career in policymaking, we'd love to hear from you.
Your background
One size doesn’t fit all, but a successful candidate might have the following:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (and a second language would be beneficial).
Proven track record of successfully managing and leading lobbyists and agencies to develop and implement policy strategies—ideally in transportation, mobility, technology, or smart city initiatives—to effectively influence decision-makers.
Experience in successfully implementing policy change campaigns, ideally delivering global or North American strategies.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify opportunities, and anticipate and mitigate potential risks.
Ability to work independently and effectively in a global organization, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Experience managing agency budgets.
Strong project management skills.
Previous experience in a fast-paced, digital environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Business, or a related field.
