The Role
The Country Director is a strategic and results-oriented leader responsible for the overall success and growth of our business within the country of responsibility Czechia. This role encompasses developing and executing the country's sales strategy, fostering strong client relationships, and leading a high-performing team to achieve ambitious revenue targets and market share growth. The Country Director acts as the primary representative of the company in the country, ensuring alignment with global objectives while adapting to local market dynamics.
How to make an impact
Strategic Leadership & Business Development:
Develop and implement a comprehensive country-specific sales and business development strategy in alignment with global company objectives.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, market segments, and strategic partnerships to expand the company's footprint.
Conduct thorough market analysis, competitor landscaping, and customer segmentation to inform strategic decisions.
Drive revenue growth and achieve assigned sales targets and KPIs for the country.
Ensure strong communication and alignment across departments and with international teams.
Be the primary point of contact for external stakeholders in the Country, including partners, clients, and authorities.
Sales & Account Management Oversight:
Lead, mentor, and motivate the country's sales team, including Account Managers and Sales Directors (if applicable).
Oversee the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification to negotiation and contract closure.
Ensure effective account management practices to foster long-term client relationships, drive customer satisfaction, and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
Monitor sales performance, analyze sales data, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Act as an escalation point for complex client issues and negotiations.
Operational Management:
Oversee all aspects of local operations, which may include sales support, project delivery, customer service, and technical support, collaborating closely with relevant functional leads (e.g., Operations Manager, After Sales Manager, Service Manager, Presale Director).
Ensure efficient and compliant operations within the country, adhering to local regulations and company policies.
Manage local resources effectively, including personnel, budget, and assets.
Collaborate with global or regional teams on shared services such as finance, HR, marketing, and IT to ensure seamless country operations.
Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
Team Leadership & Development:
Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing and engaged team.
Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify professional development opportunities for team members.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and results-driven work environment.
Ensure the team is well-versed in product knowledge, sales methodologies, and company values.
Act as the on-site cultural ambassador, promoting company values and fostering an engaging and inclusive work environment.
Stakeholder Management & Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, partners, and stakeholders within the country.
Build and maintain strong relationships with government bodies, industry associations, and other relevant entities.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and public speaking engagements.
Provide regular, accurate, and insightful reports on country performance to senior leadership.
Facilitate effective communication between the country team and global/regional departments.
About you
You are strategic, results-oriented, and a proven leader. You have exceptional leadership abilities, strong business acumen, and excellent communication skills. You're capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels, with proven negotiation and problem-solving skills. You're self-motivated and work independently while fostering a collaborative team environment.
Your background
We don't expect you to tick every box, but here's what would make you successful in this role:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in sales and business development, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership or country management role, preferably within mobility, parking, technology, or B2G/B2B sales.
Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving significant business growth.
Demonstrated experience in managing P&L and operational budgets.
Experience leading and developing high-performing sales and operational teams.
Strong understanding of the local market, including competitive landscape, regulatory environment, and customer needs in Czechia.
Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Google Office Suite.
Fluency in Czech and English is required.
