About The Netherlands
The Netherlands is a key market for us. We have a leading mobile paid parking position with our well-known brands EasyPark and Yellowbrick. And we also run a market-leading partnership delivering pay-and-display machines and related services.
About the role
As Business Development Manager - The Netherlands, you will own and grow some of our most critical mobile paid parking partnerships while also expanding our parking garage offer that's available within our parking apps. You operate at the intersection of key account management, new business acquisition, and strategic growth, combining strong commercial instincts with a data-driven, structured approach and leadership skills to get your projects delivered by our organization and meeting agreed expectations of your partners and clients.
You will manage the complex relation with our largest partners end-to-end. From acquisition through long-term value creation while also sourcing and onboarding new parking garage locations. In parallel, you will analyze the local market context, identify growth opportunities and challenges, and shape strategic initiatives.
You work closely with fellow local Business Development peers, report directly to the Country Director, and collaborate with global stakeholders across Operations, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Legal within a matrix organization to ensure alignment and effective execution.
You operate in the Dutch market in a flexible hybrid setup, spending around two days per week at our Amsterdam office, regularly visiting partners across the country, and working from home to prepare and drive initiatives forward.
What you’ll be doing
1. Strategic partnership management
Own and manage our largest mobile paid parking partnerships from acquisition through long-term relationship management
Drive structured governance as central point of contact for our partners such as frequent business reviews
Negotiate commercial terms, renewals, and expansions in collaboration with the Country Director, Legal and Finance
Hands-on involvement in forecasting and ongoing pipeline reviews
2. Off-street acquisition (parking garages)
Acquire new off-street parking locations (parking garages owned by municipalities and private operators) to expand the EasyPark network.
Build and manage a strong pipeline
Lead the full commercial process from prospecting, outreach, negotiations, contracting, onboarding and handover to operations
Understand local parking dynamics, operator economics, and competitive landscape
Work cross-functionally in a global matrix organization
3. Market analysis & strategic growth
Analyze the local market context, performance data, and competitive dynamics to identify, growth opportunities, structural challenges and white spots in coverage or monetization
Develop data-driven strategic plans that can range from regional or city-level growth strategies, portfolio optimization initiatives, new business models or partnerships
Build compelling, fact-based business cases and narratives to secure internal and external stakeholder buy-in
What We’re Looking For
Experience & background
8+ years working in business development, strategic partnerships, and consultative sales roles
Strong background in managing large, complex partnerships
Ability to develop clear, data-driven strategies and build alignment with senior internal and external stakeholders
Comfortable engaging, influencing, and advising C-level stakeholders at client organizations
Experience with acquiring and managing relationships with municipalities is a plus
Proven track record in new business acquisition and commercial negotiations
Experience in SaaS, mobility, parking, payments, marketplaces, digital hardware or similar businesses
Skills & competenties
You quickly grasp dynamics and the underlying value and performance drivers of our business
You combine a charismatic authentic presence with a deep, detail-oriented curiosity for market dynamics, processes, and data.
Strong data-driven mindset: comfortable with building analyses, business cases and strategic narratives
Ability to translate data into clear, compelling recommendations for senior stakeholders
Excellent commercial and negotiation skills
Structured, proactive, and able to manage multiple initiatives in parallel
Strong stakeholder management skills in matrix organizations
Proficient in CRM (e.g. Salesforce) and data insight tools such as Looker
Fluency in Dutch and professional proficiency in English is a must
