The Role
The Payroll Specialists at Arrive are the face of the People & Culture team for any Arrive employee looking for support on payroll topics. They manage core People Operations functions, focusing on efficient and accurate payroll with the associated HR administration and data management.
Reporting within the People Platform team, the Nordic specialist role ensures smooth payroll processing, legal compliance and HR data accuracy for our Nordic business, including Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. Collaborating closely with the rest of the P&C organisation as well as other functional teams (Finance, IT, etc), the Payroll Specialist will play a key role in supporting both employees and leadership, contributing to Arrive’s growth and People agenda.
Key Responsibilities
International Payroll Expert: Proven track record in managing accurate, full-cycle payroll across multiple UK regions, including complex tax adjustments and benefits administration.
Compliance & Labor Law Specialist: Deep expertise in UK labor laws, ensuring all payroll and HR activities remain compliant with current legal requirements and tax regulations.
End-to-End Vendor Management: Experienced in overseeing payroll and benefits vendors, ensuring service level agreements are met and data integrity is maintained across all HR systems.
Process Optimization: Skilled at identifying inefficiencies and documenting new procedures to streamline HR administration and improve overall payroll accuracy.
Autonomous Senior Professional: A "hit the ground running" specialist capable of taking full ownership of the payroll function with minimal supervision, even in high-pressure interim or senior-level settings.
What You'll Bring
Degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
5-10 years of experience in Payroll and HR Operations
Certification in Payroll or HR (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional).
Experience in a multi-national organization or shared service center.
Experience in working for a leading Payroll supplier (desirable not essential)
Fluent speaker and writer in English and preferably one of the European languages (desirable not essential)
Personal Attributes
Professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive information.
Clear communication style
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize under tight deadlines.
A play together mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally.
This role is based in Łódź, Poland (hybrid).
