We are seeking an EMV Level 3 Certification Officer to lead the definition, execution, and management of scheme testing for our payment solution projects. In this role, you will be the primary technical authority ensuring our systems meet international and domestic compliance standards, serving as the bridge between technical development and regulatory approval.
Core Purpose
You will oversee the end-to-end certification lifecycle—from initial test plan generation to the final receipt of "Proof of Compliance." You will collaborate closely with Project Management, Development, and Integration teams to navigate the complexities of EMV Level 3 (L3) requirements and ensure timely market entry for our products.
Main Missions
Test Engineering: Generate comprehensive certification test plans tailored to specific EMV terminal configurations.
Execution & Reporting: Conduct rigorous certification tests and produce formal reports compliant with the strict formats required by regulators and acquiring partners.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the technical translator, explaining system behaviors to certification bodies and internal stakeholders.
Version Control: Systematically document and track all changes applied to components currently under test.
Strategic Advisory: Provide expert guidance to project leadership regarding certification strategy and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities
Scope Management: Own the certification scope for both global (Visa, Mastercard) and domestic payment schemes.
Environment Validation: Ensure that test configurations are an exact mirror of the intended production target.
Compliance Testing: Successfully pass all applicable tests for specific EMV configurations and payment solutions.
Communication: Deliver detailed test results and progress updates to regulators and internal management.
Change Management: Initiate and track change requests (CRs) specifically related to evolving certification requirements or non-conformance issues.
Technical Skills & Competencies
Ecosystem Knowledge: Deep understanding of the certification chains required to deploy global payment solutions.
Regulatory Literacy: Mastery in interpreting specifications from major schemes and bodies, including EMV, PCI, Visa, and Mastercard.
Tool Proficiency: Expert-level experience with industry-standard certification tools such as Brand Test Tool (BTT), ICC Solutions, or Kanest.
Hardware/Software Deployment: Hands-on ability to install, configure, and update payment terminals and terminal applications.
Environment Management: Experience managing complex card payment environments, including gateways, EMV readers, and card simulators.
Analytical Reporting: High proficiency in documenting non-conformance issues and articulating technical outputs to non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Industry Experience: A minimum of 2+ years in a payments compliance or EMV certification-focused role.
Communication: Strong internal and external communication skills with a focus on transparency and project momentum.
Technical Foundation: Proven ability to deploy card payment solutions in test environments based on internal technical specifications.
