The Role

We are seeking a talented and driven Legal Counsel who will work closely with all functions within Arrive on a broad range of commercial matters, serving primarily our European and UK regions, while also supporting other regions worldwide. This is an exciting opportunity where you will get to work in a leading, fast-growing tech company and play an important role in supporting the global business.

As Legal Counsel, you will be an essential member of a global legal team.  A successful candidate will be a pragmatic, solution-oriented problem-solver with the experience and qualifications to make an immediate impact. You will work closely with business stakeholders throughout the organization to support various projects, with an emphasis on product development and contract negotiations. You will use your strong interpersonal skills and your ability to combine legal knowledge with business acumen to advise our teams and create pragmatic solutions to complex legal issues.

This is a hybrid role. The successful candidate will be based in or near Amsterdam and will work in our Amsterdam office for part of the working week.

You will contribute and make an impact through the following core responsibilities:

• Review, draft and negotiate customer contracts, vendor agreements, licensing agreements and bespoke strategic partnership agreements

• Offer legal support and guidance on e-commerce, consumer protection, and privacy issues (in collaboration with the Company’s Data Privacy Office)

• Support special projects as needed in areas such as regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, etc.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and manage legal risks effectively

• Work with and manage external counsel as necessary

• Conduct legal workshops and trainings for employees

• Assist with designing, building and improving internal legal operations and processes as we continue to grow and scale

About You

Core Qualifications & Experience:

• Master of Law from a reputable university or law school.

• 6+ years of commercial legal experience, either as in-house counsel at a fast-paced company or at a top-tier corporate law firm.

• Deep expertise in contract law, with extensive experience drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements.

• Solid knowledge of European e-commerce, consumer protection, and privacy laws.

• Full professional fluency in English and German (both written and spoken) is required. Proficiency in Dutch or other languages is a significant asset.
