As an Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping our engineering future, directly influencing our product, technology, and people strategies to deliver exceptional value for our customers globally.
How to make an impact
As an Engineering Manager, you will lead multiple engineering teams or a significant domain, instilling a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement aligned with lean and agile principles. Your contributions will include:
Strategic Ownership: Drive the technical vision and roadmap for a significant engineering domain or multiple product areas, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals and maintaining robust technical health.
Empowering Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire multiple engineering teams (potentially including other managers or technical leads), fostering their growth, collaboration, and shared responsibility towards ambitious visions and strategies.
Architectural Stewardship: Partner with architects and principal engineers to ensure technical excellence, scalability, and maintainability across your domain(s), advocating for sound architectural decisions.
Cultivating Excellence: Champion a high-performance culture, continuous improvement, and advanced agile development practices across the engineering organization.
Systemic Problem Solving: Identify and drive the resolution of complex, cross-team or organizational impediments, enabling your teams to achieve their missions efficiently.
Talent Development: Actively participate in talent acquisition, career development, and retention strategies, building strong, competent, and engaged engineering teams.
Advocacy: Exhibit a profound care for people, product quality, business value, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous learning.

Culture Champion: Has a true passion for continuous improvement, agile methodologies, and fostering a scalable, learning-driven engineering culture.
Adaptive Leadership: Excels at leading and facilitating, adeptly adapting your communication and leadership style to diverse audiences and complex situations.
Your background
Extensive Leadership Experience: Several years of progressive leadership experience (e.g., 7+ years in software development with 5+ years in a formal leadership role), ideally managing multiple teams or a significant domain within agile product development environments.
Strategic Delivery Focus: Proven expertise in driving and improving flow-based software development across larger organizational units or complex product lines.
Business-Driven Product Development: A strong track record of leading data-driven and user-centric product and software development initiatives that deliver tangible business value.
Technical Acumen: Sufficient technical depth to engage credibly with senior engineers and guide architectural discussions, even if not a hands-on coding role.
Cross-Functional Acumen: Demonstrated ability to navigate and influence across product management, design, and other business functions at a strategic level.
