Field Service Technician - Los Angeles
We’ve signed up to an ambitious journey. Join us!
As Arrive, we guide customers and communities towards brighter futures and more livable cities, it isn’t a challenge just anyone could take on. Luckily, we have something to help us make it happen. Our people and our values. We Arrive Curious, Focused and Together. Just as our entire brand is inspired by the North Star, the shining light leading travelers to their destinations since time began, our values guide us. They help us be at our best. For our customers. For the cities and communities we serve. For ourselves. As a global team, we are transforming urban mobility. Let’s grow better, together.
The Role
Our high performing team is growing. We are seeking an experienced Field Services Technician
to serve as technical authority for our mission-critical parking and transit ecosystems across
California and the broader U.S. This isn’t a "9-to-5" desk job; it is a high-octane, autonomous
role for a technician who thrives on complex software-hardware integration and is ready to own
the road. You will manage a mobile inventory and a company-issued vehicle, ensuring the digital
and physical heartbeat of our cities never skips a beat.
How to Make an Impact
- Installation: Execute high-precision deployment and decommissioning of multi-space
parking kiosks and transit hubs, ensuring zero-footprint removals and seamless,
calibrated installations that meet strict city infrastructure specifications.
-Systems Integration & Logic: Beyond hardware swaps, you will perform diagnostics on
API connectivity, network latencies, and firmware synchronization to ensure seamless
data flow.
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Serve as the product expert on-site, resolving complex
electrical faults and software glitches in 12v DC systems, wireless modems, and
mainboard logic.
- Operational Resilience: Support local colleague in rigorous preventative maintenance
protocols on card readers and solar-integrated systems, predicting failures before they
impact the public.
- Strategic Logistics: Maintain a high-functioning mobile "command center" (service
vehicle), managing sophisticated spare parts inventory with precision.
- Technical Reporting: Utilize tablets/laptops to document fixes, maintaining a parts
inventory, communicate with internal teams and provide data-driven feedback to the
Development teams.
About You
You are a high-level technical "fixer" with a growth mindset and a road-warrior spirit. You
aren't just comfortable working solo; you prefer the autonomy of the open road and the
challenge of navigating new cities. You lead with empathy for the client but maintain a
relentless "find a way" attitude when a system goes dark. You are a clear communicator who
can translate a "hardware failure" into a "software solution" for stakeholders.
The Reality of the Road
- Regional Mastery: Frequent and regular travel throughout the State of California.
- National Deployment: Occasional travel to support projects in major cities across the
entire U.S.
- Commitment: This role requires regular overnights and, at times, extended workdays to
meet project deadlines and ensure city infrastructure uptime.
Your Background
- Advanced DC Electrical Expertise: Deep experience with 12v DC systems (Marine,
Automotive, or Industrial Utilities).
- Software & Firmware Literacy: Proven ability to navigate UI/UX interfaces, push
software updates, and troubleshoot network communication protocols (API/LTE).
- Mechanical Mastery: Expert-level ability to deconstruct, diagnose, and rebuild complex
electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Extreme Outdoor Resilience: Ready to perform in all weather conditions, from urban
heat to coastal storms.
- Physical Power: Must be able to stand for extended durations and frequent lifting up to
75 lbs.
- Elite Driving Record: A valid driver’s license with a pristine record is mandatory.
This Los Angeles Area-based role offers a pay range of $35.00-36.00 per hour and includes a comprehensive benefits package CURRENTLY featuring health, dental, and vision INSURANCE coverage. The schedule consists of approximately 50% local support and 50% travel to support other Arrive customers
