The Role
The Director of Physical Security is a senior leadership role responsible for defining, leading, and maturing Arrive’s global physical security strategy. Reporting to the Head of Global Security, this role will own the second and third-line physical security functions, establishing the governance, standards, and risk management frameworks to protect our people, assets, and facilities worldwide.
This is a highly collaborative role that will work closely with Global Facility Management, IT, People & Culture (P&C), and other key functions to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive security posture. While this role does not have direct reports initially, it is expected to lead through influence, indirectly guiding other roles across the organization, and may build and lead a direct team in the future.

You will proactively identify and mitigate physical risks, enhance our crisis response capabilities, and ensure a safe and secure environment for all employees and operations, enabling the business to thrive and grow securely.
Physical Security Strategy & Governance
Develop and own the global physical security strategy, roadmap, and policies, ensuring alignment with the overall business and security objectives.
Establish and maintain global physical security baselines and standards for all Arrive facilities, including offices, warehouses, and other key facilities.
Partner with Global Facility Management (our first line of defense) to implement standardized physical access guidance and support the consolidation of monitoring systems.
Conduct and oversee on-site physical security risk assessments for our Tier 1 facilities to identify vulnerabilities and drive remediation efforts.
Risk Management & Field Asset Protection
Develop and implement physical anti-tampering baselines to protect field assets across our global operations.
Lead and conduct physical security audits for our supply chain and warehouse operations to ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
Act as the subject matter expert for physical security, providing guidance and support to business leaders and project teams on all related matters.
Crisis Management & Incident Response
In close partnership with the Head of Global Security, the Security Operations team, and Tech Crisis Management teams, enhance and operationalise our global crisis management framework to effectively respond to physical threats.
Develop and lead the integration of a global emergency action and crisis response plan, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and communication channels.
Serve as a key leader in the company’s crisis management team during physical security incidents, providing expert guidance and coordinating response efforts.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key internal partners, including Global Facility Management, Legal, People & Culture (P&C), IT, and local business leaders.
Act as the primary liaison between the Global Security team and other functions on all matters related to physical security.
Develop and deliver reporting on the status of the physical security program, including key risks, metrics, and initiatives, to senior leadership.
About you
Extensive Experience: Proven track record in a senior physical security role, with experience developing and managing global programs in a complex, multinational organisation.
Strategic Mindset: Demonstrated ability to think strategically, translate high-level goals into actionable plans, and drive execution across multiple stakeholders.
Collaborative Leader: Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with a natural ability to build partnerships and drive consensus.
Crisis Leadership: Experience in crisis management and emergency response, with the ability to lead calmly and decisively under pressure.
Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of physical security principles, technologies, and best practices, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and risk assessment methodologies.
Your background
Significant experience in corporate physical security including regional or global leadership roles.
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP, CSMP) are highly desirable but not mandatory.
Experience working in the technology or mobility sector is a plus.
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience is considered a plus.
