The Role
We are seeking a high-ownership, strategic Product Manager for our Automotive Apps to join our Automotive & Data (A&D) Business Unit. In this role, you will own the critical "front door" and end-to-end user lifecycle of our Android Automotive OS (AAOS) and Google Automotive Services (GAS) applications.
The first interaction a driver has with an in-car application sets the foundation for their entire journey. In the vehicle cockpit, traditional login flows fail; your mission is to define how users effortlessly onboard, register, link their vehicle, and authenticate payments securely and frictionlessly without driver distraction.
As the PM for our in-car ecosystem, your primary growth driver will be leading the strategic expansion of our AAOS application into the US and North American markets. You will lead a tight-knit, cross-functional team of engineers, researchers, and designers to bring seamless parking and charging activation directly to American dashboards.
How to make an impact
Drive US Market Expansion: Own the localization and go-to-market strategy to scale our AAOS app in North America, partnering with sales and product teams to integrate local payment architectures and user habits.
Evolve In-Car Authentication & Onboarding: Design seamless, frictionless, and secure sign-up, login, QR-pairing, and identity verification flows tailored specifically for the vehicle cockpit.
Lead Product Discovery & Delivery: Work with engineering, design, and analytics to ensure the features we build are Valuable, Usable, Feasible, and Viable.
Advocate for Driver Safety & In-Car UX: Partner with design and research to build delightful features that respect driver cognitive load and adhere to strict automotive safety standards.
Harness Data and Predictive AI: Turn billions of mobility data points and vehicle telemetry into intuitive, predictive dashboard experiences.
About you
You are a curious and driven product leader who thrives on solving complex, data-rich challenges. You possess a growth mindset and enjoy working in an environment where experimentation is encouraged.
You are an expert at navigating ambiguity and can articulate clear, data-informed narratives to influence teams and external partners without formal authority.
You have a deep focus on the customer (both users and OEMs) and are passionate about removing roadblocks to ensure every driver has a seamless journey.
You possess a safety-first design mindset, showing deep empathy for the driver's cognitive load and a respect for physical-to-digital ergonomics.
You are a collaborative team player—empathetic, supportive, and exceptionally skilled at bridging engineering, design, commercial, and localization perspectives.
Your background
What you must have:
5+ years of Product Management experience, launching or scaling highly complex user-facing consumer apps, multi-sided platforms, or SaaS products in an agile environment.
Onboarding & Identity Expertise: A proven track record of optimizing conversion funnels, registration, onboarding, or identity verification flows.
Analytical & Technical Fluency: Comfort working with APIs, SDKs, and data-rich architectures. You are highly skilled in using data analytics (Looker, Mixpanel, etc.) to drive discovery and measure performance.
Bonus points if you have:
Automotive Technology Exposure: Practical knowledge of in-car infotainment systems, specifically Android Automotive OS (AAOS), Google Automotive Services (GAS), or projected systems (Apple CarPlay / Android Auto).
US Market Exposure: Experience launching, localizing, or scaling digital consumer products in the United States/North American market.
Industry & OEM Familiarity: Experience working in or with automotive OEMs in commercial and product-related areas.
Safety & Regulatory Knowledge: An understanding of automotive design constraints, driver distraction regulations, and accessibility standards.
AI Literacy: Experience leveraging AI to optimize user experiences, such as contextual onboarding funnels.
What we offer
Massive Scale & Impact: The opportunity to build software that sits in the dashboards of millions of vehicles worldwide, directly shaping the future of urban mobility.
Flexibility: A hybrid working setup from our collaborative Stockholm office.
Competitive Compensation: A strong salary package including pension plans and a generous wellness allowance.
Growth: Continuous learning budgets and opportunities to scale your career in a rapidly expanding global tech company.
